An EU Green Paper entitled" Modernizing labor to meet the challenges of the 21st Century "may lead to a re-formulation of UK employment law. The modernization of labor law, the support of the European Union's objective of full employment and greater labor productivity and the participation was to promote and encourage flexibility and safety in the workplace.

Of particular interest to the EU is the status of the self-employed because they have no time to enjoy many employment rights. It was suggested that the minimum demands and rights are in all contracts for personal services which are economically independent from the self-employed. It was suggested that a uniform definition of "employee" could solve this problem. A public consultation on this Green Paper and the EU Committee on Employment and Social Affairs will vote on the Green Paper at a plenary session.

The tool kit is aimed at managers and human resources professionals and their goal is to businesses, a performance approach in the everyday life of their organization.

Agency workers Bill

A new law was adopted in Parliament with the aim of the temporary workers the same rights that a long-term employees and have in areas such as wages and salaries, sick pay and holiday pay.
