If you excel in law school, make sure you are a lawyer. This seems obvious. You spent your undergraduate life at Law School, and has prepared and the last, which is in the law program you want. Still sure you want to be a lawyer, because the first year of law school is a shocker.
There is no way to respond adequately to a law student for their first day or first year of study. If you excel in law school, be prepared to recognize that you are now an adult dealing with adult situations and questions. One thing you need to maintain an effective study skills. It is not just about how much time you have to study. Sometimes there are not enough hours in the day to do all your work. Be sure to prioritize your work.
What you need the time for most is reading. Their studies are with pages of case studies and briefings. Make sure you have enough time to cycle through these pages not once but two or three times. What you need most is time for acclimating yourself the words that are used, and the ideas that are expressed. If you are reading with the law, you will begin to read your work faster and more critical.
Many law students feel lost in Law School. Law School is a rigorous journey that is ultimately a critical and analytical thinking and fosters the ability to argue effectively. Yes, you are under the Law School, as most people when they are done every kind of graduate school. The difference to Law School is that it changes the way in the world. It shows you that there is more than one correct answer, and that the best response is the best argument one.
Because of the rigorous course work load, a law student must be time for themselves. It's easy to get into the world of law. They are attending lectures for many hours and study for more. You can use 100 hours a week just studying. They do not want to burn out.
Refresh yourself by allowing some time to see friends and family. Although it is difficult to find the time nor the energy, try exercising once in a while. This will help you stress and improve your stamina.
The best advice is, through the dreaded first year as good as you can. After that it is more of the same. Your third year you will be best. It is addressed to fewer lectures and find that you understand the material faster. So work hard, study effectively, and have fun.
