Easter seems to have two different meanings in the minds of most people. It is the spiritual meaning of Jesus Christ from the dead to rise and thereby show the world that death is not to be feared, if we believe in him. Then there it ignores the other side, that the spiritual meaning and focuses on the Easter Bunny, egg hunt and the traditional Easter ham and sweet potatoes dinner.

I would say that I do not know why you can not have two meanings in your life. My opinion is that rather than the contrary, these two meanings are as one. Because of Christ and the spiritual sense, I am free to be happy and celebrate the new life that Christ has promised. What is representative of new life more than baby chicks, eggs, rabbits and all of God's wonderful creations? I can go to church and then come home and have an Easter egg hunt, Easter dinner with my family, and wonder at the many creations of God.

In my eyes there is no way these two things can be opposite. They are all together like a perfect tapestry. Is there a better way to explain to children the meaning of life, death and beyond as by traditional rituals? Moreover, I do not think God is up there and said: "You should only go to church on Easter." I think he is a loving God with a sense of humor and laugh, while we run around looking for Easter Eggs.

I have often wondered why this holiday should be either or (the same for Christmas). Let us celebrate the new life through Christ with our family, as we are on this season of promise.

Easter also novelty that can be created every day. Each day is new and if I failed miserably one day, the next morning is a new day. We have all heard the saying, today is the first day of the rest of my life.

George Bernard Shaw, Irish playwright (1856-1950) said: "Life is not about finding yourself - life is about himself."

Tom Stoppard, British playwright (* 1937) wrote: "Every exit is an entry somewhere."

Holy Bible, King James Version: We are therefore buried with him through baptism into death, like as Christ was risen from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of the life. Romans 6:4

We have much to celebrate! Given that everyone here are some of the things that makes our family fun at Easter:

This year our family celebrates Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Fortunately, all my children and grandchildren live in Florida.

We always have a traditional dinner with ham and some of our favorites. You may want to log on to Frannie's fine recipes from the heart, that is: Sometimes we http://mysite.verizon.net/reso4qht/franniesfinewordsfromtheheart/id26.html Creamy Squash Casserole, or Angel Biscuits. You can find these two recipes on my site I have already mentioned.

Most of the time, family members, a family favorite attachment. For many years, we have our famous bunny cake. Actually, it is from Baker's Angel Flake Coconut. I found it on the Internet at: http://www.razzledazzlerecipes.com/easter/hiphop.htm (complete with a large picture).

We usually do not the eggs in the beautiful Florida sunshine. The weather is usually perfect this time of year. Everyone has to dye at least one egg - even the adults.

Besides real dyed eggs, I buy the plastic eggs and set a price. It may be money or a gift certificate or a loan note promissory note to do something for another family member. Sometimes, I buy lottery tickets to scrape off for $ 1.00. I have only a couple. (Lottery tickets are available only for the adults hunt.) It's just a great thing. What happens if someone actually won the lottery?

It is a tradition in our family that the children are eggs, they then hide the eggs for adults. Until then, the kids want us to return the eggs to them. I can not imagine a better way to participate in child's play Verse Send this to hide and of course eggs.

Something else I have the jelly bean contest. Usually you will find a large egg-shaped glass in a department store or craft shop. I will discuss them with jelly beans when I can. Everybody makes their guess (in writing) to the amount of jelly beans contains car. The winner will be rewarded with a glass of jelly beans.

We buy cheap prices for the children. We ensure that every child receives a prize. The prize is to find the eggs, the egg Silli, and the unusual egg. Well, you get the idea. Every child needs to feel special and win!

One year, I know Lacy matching clothes for our four daughters. Each dress had a different color band around the waist. I thought she looked so adorable and wrote a poem to express just that:

Easter Promise

Little Easter Beauties
Dressed in white.
Big beautiful smile;
Oh, what a precious sight.

Small hands, wait
To Easter Eggs
And lead you through the
Beach grass courtyard with racing legs.

Baskets with jelly beans
And chocolate bunny
Are eaten by small girl
As the spring promises to be sunny.

Since Easter means new life,
There is nothing more features
You see, as created by God
A beautiful picture from where I sit.

Our Easter celebrations are so unusual that my daughter received a call from her sister-in-law in California. It seems that she wants to Florida for Easter with their six-year-old daughter, Sydney. In her words, she wants Sydney to experience an old-fashioned Easter in a family environment. We will not disappoint you Sydney.
