free legal advice family law

There are a few things people should know about consultations.

Unfortunately, they apply not only to Iceland Rhode divorce consultations ... but it seems that it is a trend that applies to most of the free consultations with any area of law. So, what is it? There is a dearth of good, sound legal advice.

Of course, this blog article sounds cynical. Here I am a divorce lawyer and the course I have my own opinion about things, and I am sure they are exceptions to my way of thinking and what I have ... In fact, I'm one of those exceptions. Nevertheless, I see very few lawyers who are just like me.

You've heard the saying ..."" You get what you pay for ", or? Well, for a moment that in a divorce matter Rhode Rhode Iceland Iceland or legal case for the question that you have a "free" consultation, a lawyer from Rhode Iceland, what kind of advice do you think you are going order of the prosecutor's office who are not paid for your valuable information that the profession is to raise money on the table for him and his family and paying the bills. You can draw your own conclusions here. My answer is simple ... You get what you pay ... you pay nothing ... nothing.

Another consideration is how much time the Rhode Iceland divorce lawyer is to you in this "free advice". Is he or she is to answer all your questions? Is the lawyer you clear answers to questions, he or she will respond or they muddy the water and say that there are too many "variables" to give you a definitive answer without explaining what the variables are also legal?

Most people get a referral from a friend, family member, the Internet or the Yellow Pages to find a divorce lawyer. Hey, you have to start somewhere, huh? And there's nothing wrong with the. The second part of the process is usually to ask whether the Rhode Iceland divorce lawyer offers free consultations (at least in my experience, my customers and potential customers that they asked during the search).

The bottom line is not only common sense, but it is a concrete answer. Lawyers give legal advice and representation of clients for their livelihoods. That is what brings the food on the table, pays for the car payment, keep the children in the ballet and martial arts and paying the house mortgage. Now consider that if an attorney gives legal advice to you and the lawyer is wrong ... the lawyer has the responsibility, and it is entirely possible that a malpractice action come their way.

Now think about it. They come in the Divorce Attorney's Office for a free consultation. The lawyer is none of this consultation and you will be there and its time for the payment of his mortgage, car, etc. .. AND ... if the attorney actually you sound legal advice about your rights and just make a mistake when you look at it, they have the pleasure to know that they can sue for legal malpractice.

What does this tell you about the attorney who offers free advice, if he or she is really useful information to you? It tells you that you have an extraordinary power of attorney exists.

Why? Because this attorney will take some time with you no money. During this time, this mandate will provide valuable legal advice, the cost you $ 200 per hour. Then, when you leave, that the attorney has assured that he or she has the right lawyer could otherwise end on the receiving end of an action for legal malpractice. And what has the power, which for joy? NOTHING! No compensation! No guarantees customers!

So, what is the moral of this article? Shop around. It is a very bad idea, cast aside lawyers who charge a fee for a consultation. If they are going to give you a fee not you think that the lawyer expects to provide you with valuable information you can bank on? Absolutely!
